Farmer's Markets are in full swing during the summer months and you do not want to miss the abundant local and seasonal goodness that is cropping up in your neck of the woods.

Yes, Farmer's Markets are great for gathering ingredients (fruits, veggies, meats), but they are also wonderful places to:

  • Find Homemade Products or pre-made goodies

The BEST part about farmer's markets is the cost. You can load up on super fresh and nutritious foods for much less than a grocery store. So go, have fun and load up on yummy goodness while making a difference.

I also love my farmers market although it is much smaller than the one you show us here. I used to try and buy something from each vendor, (about 10)but found that it wasn't the same as getting to know just one farmer and buying his produce each week. Food just tastes better when you've made friends with the one who grew it for you.

@Tracy - I agree. Creating relationships is key to everything in life, especially your farmers! We have lost touch a bit with all this virtual stuff (don't I LOVE it = YES!) and we still need real face to face connection here and there.
